Meet Mark
Forsman is a job creator and business leader who has helped build and sustain dozens of good jobs for local families. In 1984, he founded Forsman Cabinets, demonstrating his entrepreneurial spirit early on. Since 1988, he has been the owner of Yarbrough Wood Products, LLC, a company that has operated in Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, and North Dakota while continuing to provide steady employment opportunities for workers in Senate District 18. His 12,000-square-foot manufacturing facility produces high-end residential and commercial cabinetry, supporting both the local economy and the workforce.
A lifelong Christian conservative, Forsman has spent most of his life volunteering, serving, and standing up for Mississippi values. Since the age of 24, he has served on church boards, deacon boards, and trustee committees, working to strengthen his faith community. He has also been a Gideon for 10 years, serving as president of the Choctaw/Winston Gideon Camp for one year. His leadership extends beyond the church, including serving as Winston County GOP chairman from 2019 to 2024 and continuing on the executive committee. He is also a board member for both Say Something School Assembly and the Crisis Pregnancy & Family Resource Center, advocating for students and pro-life values.
“I’ve spent most of my life creating jobs, serving, volunteering, and raising a family in this district. Now I hope to take that experience to best serve our state,” Forsman said. “I believe our country and state have gotten away from what used to make us great, and I plan to get us back to the place we were proud to call home.”
Forsman’s platform focuses on:
• Rebuilding our small towns by advocating for policies that strengthen local economies and preserve the small-town way of life.
• Protecting conservative values by defending faith, family, and freedom while ensuring Mississippi remains a stronghold for Christian conservative principles.
• Developing the workforce of tomorrow by supporting vocational training, job creation, and economic growth to keep communities thriving.
A 40 year resident of this district, Forsman is a husband, father of three, and grandfather of six. He is a graduate of Noxapater High School and has furthered his education at East Central Community College and Global University.
